Grace & Matt, Chinese American Modern Wedding, here are their tips of doing a modern Chinese American wedding in Spring 2023.
Communication
Grace communicated with both families and decided to have a multicultural wedding to include both of their culture background. Grace was 6 months pregnant at the day of her wedding. She decided to wear a custom modern Qipao dress for her engagement shoot for her Asian heritage and wear a white wedding dress at her wedding ceremony to honor American culture.
She wore a mint green silk modern Cheongsam dress with cherry blossom embroidery.
Grace and Matt chose Vista Valley Country Club since Grace really liked the outdoor area and the European style reception area. Since she was pregnant, she decided to keep everything modern and minimal.
"Honoring our culture is great, but we also want to showcase our own personalities. Our families are very important for us. We hope every guest comes to our wedding and see part of us. " Said Matt and Grace.
She hired a wedding planner Jessica who handled all her logistics and took care of all the cultural and design parts.

Grace loves timeless and elegance. She picks Stuard Weitzman's silver sandels and Mikimoto matching pearl earrings and bracelet.

Instead of choosing the rich colors like most of the Asian wedding, Grace chooses tonal colors to fit the venue and overall vibes.

Family Portraits
Grace and Matt had both families meet up and discussed wedding details before the wedding.
